Illa Roja – Begur

Begur has some of the most beautiful coves along the whole of the Costa Brava. Between the wild cliffs surrounding the town, a succession of quiet havens offer protection from the waves, imbued by an atmosphere of fishing and living nature. One of these is the beach of Illa Roja, dominated by a rocky red island that gives the cove its name. It is easy to get to, the serenity is absolute, there are no big population centres, the sand is fine and the water is crystal clear.
